OG Department Store Customer Data Breached, ST Says

Singapore’s OG department store was notified Tuesday that personal data of its customers, such as their names and mobile numbers, had been leaked, the Straits Times reports, citing the company.

  • Preliminary investigations indicate database, stored and managed by third-party provider, was compromised
  • Data that may have been compromised includes customer names, mailing addresses, email addresses, mobile numbers, genders, date of birth, encrypted identity card data and passwords
  • OG says management is closely working with cyber security consultants and authorities to strengthen safeguards, systems and processes
