Novant Health $6.6 Million Settlement OK’d in Meta Pixel Suit

A federal judge approved a $6.6 million class action settlement in a lawsuit accusing Novant Health Inc. of leveraging a Meta Platforms Inc. tracking pixel on its website to collect and share the personal health information of about 1.3 million individuals with Facebook.

Judge Catherine C. Eagles of the US District Court for the Middle District of North Carolina granted plaintiffs’ unopposed motion to approve the class action settlement, according to a June 17 filing.
