A New Hampshire-based rehab hospital network failed to protect sensitive personal and health data from hackers, according to a proposed class action.
Between May 13 and May 22, 2024, an unauthorized party accessed Northeast Rehabilitation Hospital Network’s systems and exposed the data of 22,000 individuals, according to a complaint filed Jan. 10 in the US District Court for the District of New Hampshire. Stolen data included class members’ names, health insurance information, patient account numbers, treatment information, and billing and claims information.
