NFL Enterprises asked the District of Rhode Island to dismiss as “conjecture and overreach” a proposed class action alleging its NFL app is accessing and disclosing records of video clips viewed by users and other personally identifiable information.
The suit turns on NFL Enterprises’ use of tech firm Anvato’s API—a third-party application programming interface—to provide video streaming and editing services for the NFL app.
