A New York City teacher advocate can’t proceed with federal hacking claims against business rivals and the city’s Department of Education because she lacked facts to sustain the allegations, a U.S. magistrate judge ruled.
Plaintiff Elizabeth Betsy Combier, a non-attorney advocate for teachers, sued a group of lawyers, the New York City Department of Education, school officials, and others for allegedly plotting to hack into her website to destroy her business.
