New Mexico Sues Snap Over Child Exploitation on Its Platform (1)

The state of New Mexico sued social media company Snap Inc. in state court on Thursday, accusing the platform of facilitating child sexual exploitation through its design features, the state Justice Department announced Thursday.

According to the lawsuit the company failed to protect children from sexual extortion and fostered the sharing of child exploitation materials through its algorithm.
