New Horizons Medical, Inc. faces a proposed class action in Massachusetts federal court alleging it failed to properly protect patient’s health information from cybercriminals, adding to the sector’s growing number of data breaches.

New Horizons, a mental health and substance abuse treatment provider, was robbed of sensitive data—including health insurance claims, medical diagnoses, and prescription information—in a February hack, according to the complaint filed in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts said.
