NBA Video Consumer Asks High Court to Decline Privacy Lawsuit

The consumer accusing the National Basketball Association of sharing his video-watching history with Facebook without his consent said Monday that there’s no circuit split that currently requires the Supreme Court to take his case.

While the Sixth Circuit affirmed dismissal of Michael Salazar’s VPPA suit against Paramount Global after finding he wasn’t protected as a consumer under the law, the Second Circuit previously declined to dismiss a similar suit he filed against the NBA on that basis.
