Navy Federal, Verint Escape AI-Training Privacy Class Action (1)

The plaintiff dropped a proposed class action accusing Navy Federal Credit Union and Verint Systems Inc. of recording their customer service calls and sharing their personal information with a third-party firm to train artificial intelligence models, all without their consent.

Avner Paulino, who brought the lawsuit, filed a notice of voluntary dismissal Thursday in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. All claims in his May 31 complaint were dismissed without prejudice, according to the filing.
