Morgan Stanley Agrees to Settle Consumer Privacy Class Action (1)

Morgan Stanley agreed to settle a class action lawsuit from consumers accusing the financial firm of failing to safeguard their personal information, according to a New York federal court filing.

The company and the consumers agreed to a settlement in principle, Judge Analisa Torres of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said in a filing Thursday.

The filing doesn’t detail the terms of the settlement. Lawyers for the consumers didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on the settlement.
