PurFoods LLC failed to protect the personal and health information of more than 1.2 million customers, employees, and contractors that was exposed in a February data breach, a proposed federal class action said.
Logan Aldridge alleged that PurFoods, which does business as “Mom’s Meals,” failed to implement reasonable and adequate data-security practices or comply with FTC data-security guidelines and industry standards.
Mom’s Meals describes itself as a health-focused meal-delivery service for people covered under Medicare and Medicaid. The company didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
