Microsoft, Walmart Must Protect Children on TikTok, Parents Say

Microsoft Corp. and Walmart Inc., two of the leading bidders for buying TikTok, should ensure that the video-sharing app isn’t collecting data on children under 13 without parental consent, a families group said in a letter Wednesday.

The letter from the group ParentsTogether, sent to the chief executives of Microsoft and Walmart, also said the companies should ensure TikTok is complying with U.S. children’s privacy law if they acquire it.
