Microsoft Executive Urges U.S. to Join Paris Cyber Pledge

A top Microsoft Corp. executive urged the U.S. to join other governments and tech companies in pledging to defend individuals and infrastructure from hacks while combating other cybersecurity issues such as election interference.

The Paris Call for Trust and Security in Cyberspace boasts more than 1,200 signatories, including nations such as France and the United Kingdom as well as multinational companies like Microsoft and Alphabet Inc.‘s Google. The U.S. hasn’t joined the pledge since it was established in November 2018.
