MGM Resorts International’s alleged failure to protect customer data led to a breach that may have affected more than 10.6 million guests, a man alleged in a lawsuit filed in Nevada federal district court.
MGM last year revealed the breach and said customer data was downloaded, according to the proposed class action complaint. The “treasure trove” of information included names, addresses, and driver’s license numbers, plaintiff John Smallman, an MGM customer, said in the lawsuit filed Feb. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada.
