Meta, TikTok Ad Tracking Invades Health Privacy, Lawsuit Says (1)

Direct-to-consumer pharmacy Hey Favor, Inc. shared sensitive medical information with companies including Meta Platforms, Inc. and TikTok Inc. for advertising purposes in an “extreme invasion” of privacy, according to a proposed class action filed in California federal court.

The disclosures—made via code embedded on the website—occurred despite express guarantees that Favor does not sell or market the personal information it collects, according to the lawsuit targeting all three companies filed Thursday in the District Court for the Northern District of California.
