Meta Seeks to Ax Nevada Driver’s Pixel Tracking Privacy Lawsuit

Meta Platforms Inc. requested dismissal of a Nevada driver’s proposed privacy class action, arguing that its data policies are clear and that it didn’t violate a federal driver data law by collecting his data from the state Department of Motor Vehicles website.

The social media giant’s motion filed Friday asked the US District Court for the District of Nevada to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice for failure to state a claim under the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994.
