Sharaf Islam joined McGuireWoods as a partner in its energy and infrastructure finance practice in New York, the firm announced Wednesday.
Islam assists sponsors, developers, financial institutions, and institutional investors in financings for large-scale projects, including renewable energy facilities, power plants, transmission systems, and digital infrastructure, the firm said.
He joins from Kirkland & Ellis.
