MCG Health LLC will pay $8.8 million to settle a class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of nearly 1.1 million people that was exposed in a March 2022 data breach.
Members of the nationwide class of people affected by the breach will be eligible for up to $10,000 in reimbursement for extraordinary losses related to the incident, $1,500 for ordinary losses, and three years of credit monitoring services, according to the plaintiffs’ motion for final approval of the settlement.
