The Riverside County Superior Court’s record-keeping policy regarding criminal cases violates state law because it fails to properly deal with data of minors who have marijuana-related records, a California appellate court said Wednesday.
All of Us or None, a grassroots organization focused on the rights of previously incarcerated people, sued the Riverside court in 2017, seeking declaratory and injunctive relief for its alleged failure to comply with state laws regarding the destruction of certain offense records and public search options. The group and some individuals also alleged a claim for invasion of privacy under the California Constitution.
