The owner of Madison Square Garden—home of the 2026 NBA champions, the New York Knicks—has been impacted by a ShinyHunters data breach, leading a New York resident and arena-goer to file a negligence claim.
The leak includes threat assessment reporting data—including a host of biometric-driven and sensitive information—that Madison Square Garden collects on visitors, as well as internal correspondence from consumers about its collection of facial recognition data, according to the suit filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
