Lyft Inc. is working on offering its rideshare service to teenagers, catching up to an in-demand category that larger rival Uber Technologies Inc. first launched about three years ago.
Similar to Uber’s program for young riders, Lyft Teen will match passengers between the ages 13 and 17 with drivers who have high ratings. PIN authentication will be turned on by default to confirm the user gets in the right car, according to the company.
