A logistics company successfully shed a computer tampering and intellectual property lawsuit levied against it after a Missouri federal judge found its former business partner failed to state a claim under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and Defend Trade Secrets Act.
Plaintiff C. Pepper Logistics LLC’s federal claims which are dismissed were the foundation of the court’s original jurisdiction, and the court declined to exercise supplemental jurisdiction over the remaining state law claims and dismisses those too, Judge Matthew T. Schelp wrote in an order filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
