Loan service provider Educational Computer Systems, Inc., known as Heartland ECSI, faces another class action complaint over a months-long breach of loan holders’ records.
The complaint filed Friday in the U.S. District for the Western District of Pennsylvania accuses ECSI of negligence, negeligence per se and breach of contract. The complaint accuses Heartland ECSI of failing to meet industry standards in data protectiong,resulting in actual damages to the plaintiff, including ongoing need to monitor credit risks.
