Lloyd’s of London must face a dispute over cyber insurance coverage after a Missouri federal court rejected the company’s request for a dismissal.
The dispute is over losses from two cybersecurity breaches at Missouri-based sales and marketing company Maritz Holdings Inc., for which Lloyd’s denied coverage. Maritz sued Lloyd’s for breach of contract, seeking damages of between $4.5 million and $5.5 million.
Maritz can pursue its claim under Missouri law, according to a Monday ruling by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
