LIV Golf Hit With Video-Privacy Lawsuit Over Google Data Sharing

A Massachusetts golf fan sued Saudi Arabia-backed LIV Golf Inc. for allegedly sharing the video-viewing information of visitors to its website with Google LLC in violation of the Video Privacy Protection Act.

James Haskell filed the proposed class action Thursday in the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts under the Video Privacy Protection Act, which prohibits video service providers from knowingly disclosing personally identifiable information about consumers without consent.
