Lithuania Faces ‘Intense’ Cyber Attack Amid Russia Standoff (1)

Lithuania’s defense chief said the Baltic nation has come under an unprecedented cyber attack this week after the government announced it would start blocking the transit of sanctioned goods to the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad.

“This cyber war has been ongoing non-stop for many years,” Defense Minister Arvydas Anusauskas told LRT radio on Wednesday. “But this scale and intensity, which is perhaps not yet the highest but medium, is taking place for the first time.”
