LendingTree Sued Over Breach That Compromised Info of 200,000

LendingTree is liable for a February 2022 data breach that compromised the personal identifiable information of over 200,000 customers, according to a proposed class action filed in federal court in North Carolina.

Amabel Lin sued the publicly-traded online marketplace, claiming that it failed to safeguard customers’ personal information, allowing cybercriminals to hack into its systems and steal full names, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and street addresses.
