Legal Aid Sued by Lawyer for Discrimination, Retaliation (1)

A Legal Aid Society attorney is suing the nonprofit for failing to protect her from “persistent, severe, and pervasive gender-based harassment” from a male coworker that ruined her tenure at the organization.

The Legal Aid Society and Jason Wu, attorney-in-charge at the Harlem Community Law Office, violated federal and New York State anti-discrimination laws when they failed to stop the harassment against Brea Davis and retaliated by forcing her to transfer from Harlem to Brooklyn, says the complaint filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
