Labcorp, Enzo Biochem Sued Over Ransomware Attack on Health Data

Laboratory Corp. of America Holdings and Enzo Biochem Inc. were hit with a new lawsuit over a ransomware attack that affected the private health information of approximately 2.5 million clinical laboratory patients.

For two days, hackers had “unfettered access” to data including names, Social Security numbers, and clinical test information that the companies received from third parties, according to a proposed class action filed June 9 in the US District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
