The plaintiff in a proposed biometric privacy class action against her former employer won her bid to remand parts of the lawsuit to state court after an Illinois federal judge found his court didn’t have jurisdiction over those claims.
The removal motion is granted because the defendants didn’t properly remove the claims in the first place, so the court doesn’t have jurisdiction, Magistrate Judge Mark A. Beatty wrote in an order filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois.
