Ameritas Mutual Holding Co. will pay $850,000 to settle claims it failed to protect the personal information of 95,644 current and former policy holders during a May 2019 data breach.
Judge John M. Gerrard granted the settlement final approval on Tuesday in the US District Court for the District of Nebraska. The plaintiffs and Ameritus Mutual first reached the settlement in April.
