Jack Doheny Cos. Defeats Class Action Over 2024 Data Incident

Industrial-equipment provider Jack Doheny Cos. won the dismissal of a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of thousands of current and former employees that was exposed in a 2024 data breach.

Lead plaintiff Gregory Polkowski failed to show that he suffered a concrete injury sufficient to establish his standing to sue in federal court, Judge Brandy R. McMillion of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said Tuesday.
