LONDON—The personal information of over half a million members of Dublin-based sporting and cultural organization the Gaelic Athletic Association was included in data apparently stolen from its database, the GAA revealed in a Dec. 10 statement.
Compact discs with the stolen information were delivered to Ireland’s Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (ODPC), which Nov. 19 informed the GAA of the breach, GAA said. In addition, discs with the personal information were delivered to the Belfast, Northern Ireland office of the U.K.’s Information Commissioner’s Office, the GAA added.
