Intero Real Estate to Pay $16.2 Million in Unwanted Calls Deal

Intero Real Estate Services is slated to pay $16.2 million as part of a settlement with a class whose members claim that they received unwanted telemarketing calls, according to a California federal judge who granted preliminary approval of the deal.

Ronald Chinitz sued the real estate company in 2018 alleging that its repeated calls to his phone number, which was listed on the National Do Not Call Registry, violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and California’s Unfair Competition Law.
