Industry groups representing internet service providers dropped their legal challenge to a Maine law that limits use of customer data.
CTIA – The Wireless Association and the other groups sued over a 2019 state law that restricts the disclosure or sale of information collected about internet users—such as their web browsing history or location—without their permission.
