Insurers Targeted by Senate Panel on Climate, Fossil Fuels (1)

Berkshire Hathaway Inc., American International Group Inc. and Chubb Ltd. are among companies targeted by a US Senate committee that’s investigating how insurers evaluate climate-related risk, as well as the industry’s investments in fossil fuel-related projects.

Letters from members of the Senate Budget Committee also were sent to Travelers Cos., Liberty Mutual, State Farm and Starr, according to a statement Friday from the panel.
