SAN FRANCISCO—Federal Trade Commission interest in mobile devices parallels the rising use of mobile devices and the rising amount of data collected about consumers, privacy professionals heard May 20.
Manas Mohapatra, director of the FTC’s Mobile Policy, Mobile Technology Unit, told the Practising Law Institute privacy conference that the commission’s work over the past three years is a road map of actions driven by consumer complaints.
