iHeartMedia Listener Moves Federal Data Breach Suit to Texas

An iHeartMedia & Entertainment Inc. listener who sued after the audio giant reported a December 2024 data breach has chosen to withdraw her proposed class action from a federal court in New York and refile in Texas.

Cheryl Shields still seeks to represent a nationwide class of iHeartMedia customers affected by the breach that the company reported in late April, according to the new complaint filed May 30 in the US District Court for the Western District of Texas.
