Evolving identity theft threats will be the focus of a Federal Trade Commission conference May 24, 2017, in Washington, the commission announced Oct. 18.
The conference renews the FTC’s longstanding focus on ID theft by allowing a wide range of stakeholders to address the issue.
Identity theft remains a “top consumer complaint” to the FTC and millions of consumers are targeted each year, the commission said.
Former President George W.
