House Democrats Start Data Privacy Debate with Feb. 26 Hearing (1)

House Democrats are gearing up to write a broad data privacy bill as industry and privacy groups alike continue to make suggestions about how to write the measure.

House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Frank Pallone (D-N.J.) released a Government Accountability Office report calling on Congress to consider federal privacy legislation and announced a Feb. 26 subcommittee hearing.
