Home Depot Appeals $14.5M Lawyer Fees Award in Data Breach Suit

Home Depot Inc. appealed a $14.5 million attorneys’ fee award related to a 2014 data breach, arguing that a district court improperly calculated the cost.

Home Depot contested the fees to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. It argued, in earlier briefs, that the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia should have lowered the fees by about $2.75 million.
