New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) unveiled a statewide cybersecurity strategy on Wednesday in response to ongoing threats from digitally savvy criminals and foreign adversaries like Russia.

The plan emphasizes “unification, resilience, and preparedness” as key to safeguarding government networks, business secrets, and the personal information of individual citizens alike. New York is among a growing number of states beefing up their digital security after the Biden administration released a national plan in May.
