Real estate and hospitality management company Highgate Hotels LP faces a proposed class action lawsuit in response to cyber attacks on the employee email system.
The company committed negligence by not only failing to protect individuals’ data but “failed to even encrypt or redact this highly sensitive data,” according to the complaint filed Tuesday in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
