A man who sued Harvard University, alleging it failed to adequately secure an alumni affairs database prior to a data breach, is voluntarily withdrawing his proposed class action.
David Ramirez filed a notice of voluntary dismissal without prejudice Tuesday to Judge Angel Kelley of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. The suit concerned a November 2025 data breach, in which Harvard and other Ivy League schools were targeted by hackers that pilfered personal data and other information from fundraisers at the schools.
