Hair Extensions Company Mayvenn Must Face Unwanted Call Lawsuit

Hair extensions company Mayvenn Inc. lost a bid for pretrial judgment on claims that it violated federal law when it placed unwanted calls to an individual on the National Do Not Call Registry, when a California federal court rejected its “serial plaintiff” and other arguments.

Lucine Trim sued Mayvenn in 2020 for allegedly sending her text messages advertising its hair products without her consent in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.
