Hackers Release More Stolen Australian Health Data to Dark Web

Australian health insurer Medibank Private Ltd. said Sunday that hackers have released yet more sensitive medical data to the dark web.

Four stolen files containing 1,496 records were released, including lists of people with chronic health conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, asthma and mental health problems, Medibank said in a statement.

Police have said that Russian hackers are behind the attack, with local media reporting they have demanded a multi-million dollar ransom for the data.
