Michigan-based Grede Holdings LLC defeated a proposed class action alleging it negligently failed to protect the personal information of current and former employees that was exposed in a February 2025 data breach.
Lead plaintiffs Russell Higgins and Calvin McCorvey failed to adequately plead damages necessary to sustain their negligence claims, or consideration adequate to sustain their breach-of-contract claims, Judge Robert J. White of the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan said Thursday.
