Google Sued for Collecting Biometric Data on Millions of Kids

Google was accused in a lawsuit of collecting the face templates and voiceprints of millions of U.S. school children who use the company’s educational platform.

The G Suite for Education surreptitiously collects the biometric data in violation of state law and the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act, according to a complaint filed Thursday in federal court in San Jose, California.
