Google LLC’s Covid-19 exposure notification system lays bare users’ personal and medical information and violates their privacy rights, alleges a new proposed class action filed in California.

The contact tracing system has security flaws that reveal smartphone users’ data in violation of the California Constitution and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act, plaintiff Jonathan Diaz alleges in the lawsuit filed Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
