Google Seeks to Shield Marketing Executive From ‘Incognito’ Suit

Alphabet Inc.‘s Google is trying to shield chief marketing officer Lorraine Twohill from being questioned in a consumer lawsuit alleging that the company’s web browser tracks users even when they’re in “Incognito” mode.

Consumers looking to question Twohill should first seek information from other, lower-ranking Googlers with knowledge of the browsing mode before “leap-frogging” up the corporate ladder, the tech giant argued in a legal brief filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.
